How MasterKey was born

Like a lot of things, MasterKey was the answer to an unasked question…

Its inventor, Astley Packer, was having guitar lessons, when the subject of transposition came up. A twist of the mouth, a deep breath and a scratch of the nose meant that here was something that had to be dealt with!

At the next lesson, Astley produced a prototype MasterKey, much to the astonishment of his teacher and the amazement of his fellow pupils.

Encouraged by his teacher, Frank Holdforth, and the response to his appearance on “The Inventors” on TV, Astley developed MasterKey into a fully professional, quality product, which, along the way, was recognised at the International Inventions Exhibition in Geneva.

Now, with the wide reach of the internet, MasterKey is available around the world!
